When OSHA Calls

Article Abstract:

Many business owners and trade groups believe that OSHA inspections and regulations are punitive rather than sincere attempts to make the workplace safer. Even cooperative programs have not reformed the adversarial process. Tips for dealing with an OSHA inspection are included.

Opponents of the proposed federal standards for occupational health-and-safety programs maintain that standards are unnecessary and would burden business with costs and paperwork. Business owners fear they will be fined for accidents that are not preventable.
