Doug Moran, founder of Australia's largest private nursing home business the Moran Health Care Group, has not been put off by the scandal which engulfed his family when his daughter-in-law sued him and revealed details of his private life in court. The self-confidence which served him well when building his business and his family have helped him through this crisis.

Article Abstract:

A review of economic conditions in Tasmania, Australia is presented. The Labor government, which was elected in Sep 1998, has still not revived the economy which has a higher unemployment rate and lower average weekly wage than in mainland Australia.

Nabalco explores trust to bring peace to Gove

The Australian mining company Nabalco has achieved good labour relations with its workforce at the alumina and bauxite refinery Gove in the Northern Territory. The process of negotiation, started in 1995, has taken five years.
