83% of adults read daily papers

Article Abstract:

A survey conducted by NADbank '98 showed that 83% of adults aged 18 and above read a daily newspaper. An average of 45 minutes was spent by Canadians weekdays on reading a daily newspaper. NADbank '98, the daily newspaper readership data study, discovered that managers, professionals and executives comprise the majority of readers among 18+, with 3.53 million. Working women followed with 3.32 million weekly readers and blue collar workers with 1.5 million weekly readers.

John Candy tribute

Toronto Argonauts president and chief executive officer Keith Pelley announced that the annual Rogers CFL Player Awards will be integrated into a tribute to John Candy, a former owner of the football team and a comedian. The event will be held on November 22, 2007.
