A dynamic approach to multiple-objective resource allocation problem

Article Abstract:

A new approach was created to solve the multiple-objective resource allocation problem. The approach, which utilizes dynamic programming, involves the development of a fuzzy evaluation and fuzzy optimization methodology for multiple-objective systems. Fuzzy evaluation and fuzzy optimization method is integrated with the conventional dynamic programming technique to create a dynamic optimization algorithm. Further development of such algorithm enables it to be used in multiple-objective resource allocation problems with qualitative objectives.

Optimality and duality for a multi-objective programming problem involving generalized d-type-I and related n-set functions

Article Abstract:

Solution for a multi-objective programming problem is derived using generalized convexity for a real-valued set function. Problem includes generalized d-type-I and related n-set functions. Optimality and duality results are derived as a solution for the problem.

Practices of preventive maintenance and replacement for engines: a case study

Article Abstract:

The sequential method has been used to assess optimal policies of when to undertake preventive maintenance on an engine and when to replace an engine. It was established that this method can be used to effectively address a maintenance and replacement problem.
