A framework for group decision support systems: Combining AI tools and OR techniques

Article Abstract:

The conceptual framework for a Group Decision Support System is discussed, emphasizing its development as based on operations research techniques and artificial intelligence tools. The group decision support system is an Internet based mechanism, whose participants have access to their own decision support software that could be analyzed by the group through communicating on the Internet. The concept fosters human-to-human coordination.

A DSS for multiple criteria decision analysis with imprecisely specified trade-offs

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to characterize a decision support system for multiple criteria decision analysis. Data about trade-offs was given as lower and upper bounds. In addition, the integration of the support system into an interactive decision analysis process was examined. Results indicated that the decision support system can effectively help users determine solutions from a finite set of decision options.
