A little change of heart

Article Abstract:

Investors are investing heavily in stocks of small-cap firms in the Japanese stock exchange since these companies have shown resilience to fluctuations in the economy and have shown higher returns than large-cap stocks. Observers note that small-cap stocks show a possible return 23 times the current average share price. Investors have turned away from large-cap stocks due to larger effects of a stronger yen on the trading of the companies' products overseas, producing smaller returns on investments.

Japan's securities market has fared well compared with its Asian neighbors. However, analysts suggest that investments should be studied carefully as other sectors continue to post losses. Niche-oriented electronics companies boast of their considerable market share in the local and international markets.
