Article Abstract:

Marciano Investments Inc bought 1.2 million shares of stock worth $5.7 million from Farah Inc, a manufacturer of men's and boys' slacks and coats. The sale raised much-needed funds for Farah Inc to recover from the losses of previous years, albeit this year is expected to be a losing one. Marciano Investments must hold the stock for at least a year and cannot enter into any transactions involving Farah without Farah's consent.

Hunter Tylo's triumph and tragedy

Soap opera actress Hunter Tylo won a $4.9 million wrongful-firing lawsuit against Aaron Spelling when she receive horrific news regarding one of her daughters. Tylo's three-month old infant was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in one of her eyes and it had to be removed.
