ZBS with a question mark
Article Abstract:
Zeleznobrodske sklo (ZBS) (Zelezny Brod, Czech Republic), glass pearl manufacturer, expects the solution of doubts about its new owner in 2000. The sale of a 89.36% majority stake in ZBS, which is held by the state through the National Property Fund of the Czech Republic, was decided by the Czech government in February 2000. Bijou Terra (BT) (Czech Republic) won the tender for the stake. The Office for Fair Trading of the Czech Republic has objections to BT. A reason is the fact that ZBS and BT operate on the artificial jewellery market. ZBS has 1,180 employees. It saw a net profit of nearly CEK 20 mil in 1999.
