AUSTRIA: RWA HIVES OFF TRACTOR SALES

Article Abstract:

A new company called Lagerhaus TechnikCenter GesmbH & Co KG has been set up by the Austrian agricultural trade organisation Raiffeisen Ware Austria (RWA). From the beginning of September 2000, the new company is taking over the sales of tractors within the RWA group. With five branches, it should generate a turnover of Sch 1bn in year 2000. The market share is 42%. RWA's plan is to export more of the 350,000 used tractors in Austria to eastern countries such as Bulgaria, Romania and Poland. The Austrian market for agricultural machines is forecast to decline by 9% in year 2000. RWA does not rule out hiving off other divisions according to the example of tractor trade.

AUSTRIA: GROWTH FOR REFORM-WERKE

Article Abstract:

In the 1998/99 fiscal year the Austrian agricultural machine maker Reform-Werke saw an increase in turnover by Sch 16mn to Sch 702mn. The company's products include mountain tractors, two-axle mowers and transporters.

AUSTRIA: LINDNER UPS SALES IN 1999

Article Abstract:

Tractor manufacturer Lindner reports a 7% increase in turnover to Sch 500mn last financial year. The company exports 20% of its output. In March 2000 the company started selling also Steyr tractors.
