Adecco to buy Olsten for 1.6 billion euros

Article Abstract:

Adecco SA has reached an agreement to acquire Olsten Corp.'s general and information technology staffing operations. The deal will make Adecco the largest employment agency in the US. Adecco is acquiring the Olsten's operations for $710 million (675 million euros) in cash and shares. Also under the deal, Adecco will assume responsibility for up to $750 million in debts. This is in addition to $130 million to $150 million in future promises to acquire the Olsten businesses.

Adecco gets new CEO by purchasing German rival

Following a two-month recruitment effort , the Swiss employment services company Adecco S.A. will be acquiring a new company, DIS Deutscher Industrie Service AG, and a new chief executive officer, Dieter Schieff. T he company's former chief executive officer, Jerome Caille, left following an accounting scandal and a profit warning in 2005.

Adecco to buy Tuja for about $802.8 million

Article Abstract:

Swiss employment services company Adecco S.A. will purchase the German temporary staffing firm Tuja Group for $802.8 mil to strengthen its presence in that country. The deal includes assumption of Tuja's debt.
