Air Products: a filling station in Brno-Slatina

Article Abstract:

Air Products (Czech Republic), technical gas producer and distributor, commissioned a new technical gas filling station in Brno-Slatina, the Czech Republic, on 14 May 1998. The station packs technical gases to pressure cylinders including bundles and mini-tanks under an overpressure up to 300 bars. The filling station offers mainly oxygen including supplies for health services, argon, carbon dioxide, the gas mixtures TOPGAS for the brewing industry and nitrogen. The station allows direct supplies to consumers from the eastern part of the Czech Republic and the covering of Slovak demand. Besides, the station can realise supplies for Austria for advantageous prices.

BMT (Brno, Czech Republic), medical equipment manufacturer, expects a turnover of 320 mil Kc in 1999 compared to 280 mil Kc in 1997. The firm supplies 20% of its production to the Czech market, 40% to Germany, 15% to Switzerland and 25% to other countries. The company has 360 employees. BMT has subsidiaries in Slovakia, Russia, Poland and the Ukraine. The firm has a stake held by MMM Munich (Germany).

The industrial zone in Brno will be built

Article Abstract:

Czech Republic: According to a decision of the government of Oct 2000, the industrial zone in Brno will be built after 2000. The state will participate in the construction of the zone with about CEK 1.5 bil. The withdrawal of the finances will be divided into several years. The city of Brno should provide the financing of the construction with CEK 1.2 bil.
