Frequent flier and related travel incentive programs

Article Abstract:

The frequent flier programs (FFPs) being offered by airlines are essentially loyalty recognition programs that reward consumers who fly most often with them. FFPs have spawned an industry that encompasses airlines, hotels and rental companies with tie-ins to credit cards, phone services, on-line shopping services, florists and mutual funds. At present, there are are around 70 FFPs around the world with more than 100 million members and offering 10 million awards annually.
