Al Qaeda's changing face

Article Abstract:

The crackdown on Al Qaeda terrorists and the arrest of some of its senior leaders in Pakistan has forced the organization to find new ways of survival. The organization is recruiting people and forming small cells and intelligence reports suggest that the Islamic militants plan to deploy female suicide bombers to attack the government.

Asian quake may be serious blow to Islamic groups hostile to U.S

The United States is sending aid to earthquake victims in the Kashmir region of India and Pakistan. Islamic militants have seen heavy casualties in the area and the United States is hoping to aid in post-disaster reconstruction, improving American relations with the Muslim world.
