As Alcoa struggles, O'Neill's successor tries new direction

Chief Executive Officer Alain Belda, Alcoa Inc. of the United States is making growth happen for the aluminum giant by focusing on airplanes, courting Airbus and investing in Russia. The aluminum industry is suffering due to high energy and raw materials costs combined with a weak Dollar. Alcoa Inc. shares are down approximately 40 percent since 2004.
