An optimization model for photochemical air pollution control

Article Abstract:

A mixed integer nonlinear programming model was formulated aimed at developing a photochemical air pollution control strategy. The model integrates the estimated relationship between photochemical pollutants and their precursors into a decision making model to effectively limit photochemical pollutants. It also reduces the net present value (NPV) of precursor emission control expenditures from several sources of emission.
