ArcelorMittal's net rises 50% on strong demand for steel

Second-quarter net profit for Dutch firm Arcelor Mittal rose by 50% to reach $2.72 bil, with sales increasing by 21% to reach $27.2 bil. Results for the steel company, the world's largest by sales, were due in part by higher prices and demand and merger synergies.

Tata Steel profit advances 8.2%
