Architect among engineers

Article Abstract:

The interaction between different consultants is a key element in the design process, according to Crispin Wride, head of the in-house but fully independent architectural practice of engineering firm Gibb. Close cooperation between engineers and architects made it possible for Gibb to submit a very strong bid for work on a new bridge at Poole Harbour, for example. The architectural practice plans further cooperation with Gibb's engineers, with projects including the masterplan for Newcastle International Airport.
