At the RIBA's roots lies the key to a solid foundation

Article Abstract:

The plans to create the RIBA Foundation even though have made little impact on the membership, the foundation will be the institute and the rump of activities will be akin to that of any other membership organisation. The new foundation would be responsible for the entire RIBA cultural programme namely events, lectures, exhibitions, conferences, awards, the RIBA Stirling Prize and other familiar institute activities.

These include a more powerful registration organisation, with a particular presence in education and discipline. These areas have traditionally been the responsibility of the RIBA, which will inevitably see some changes as a result of the legislation.
