Australia makes a good partner for the U.S

Article Abstract:

Australia and the United States should negotiate a free trade agreement, building on the Anzus defense treaty linking the United States, Australia and New Zealand. The United States is already Australia's second largest export market for goods, its leading export market for services, and Australia's leading source of direct foreign investment and leading recipient of direct foreign investment. Some progress is already being made by the Bush Administration toward improving trade relations even more, but there is still much to be done, with difficult negotiations in store for both sides.
