Austria/Germany: Blue C in difficulties

The internet consultancy Blue C, which is listed on the Neue Markt in Frankfurt, is to close its German branch. In the first half of 2001 Blue C losses urged from EUR 5.61mn to EUR 10.71mn, which is more than half of the equity. An extraordinary shareholders' meeting will be held in November 2001.

AUSTRIA: STEEP GROWTH FOR JOWOOD IN 2000

JoWooD reports a 5-fold increase in turnover to Sch 220mn in year 2000. Pre-tax profit more than doubled to Sch 41mn and net profit grew 62% to Sch 21.7mn. Dynamic Systems, which is owned 70% by JoWooD, contributed almost one-third to turnover.
