Tyco to acquire AMP via stock swap

Article Abstract:

Tyco International Ltd. agreed to acquire AMP Inc. in a $51 a share stock swap transaction, or around $11 billion. Tyco will now have revenues over $22 billion and operations in more than 80 nations. Tyco has succeeded in expanding its electrical parts business with the purchase of the market leader AMP.
