Alitalia's CEO takes pains to keep airline's global status

Alitalia has come up with a new survival strategy that entails proposals to raise funds and to downsize costs and its labor force. Alitalia's chief executive, Philippe Calavia, hopes to maintain the airline's status as a global carrier.
