BCO award winners: Working party

Article Abstract:

Phase 1 of Chiswick Park in London, England, was the BCO award winner for best commercial workplace. Richard Rogers Partnership was the architect for the project whose building 2 included a gross external area of 11.544 square meters and net internal area of 9.238 mil square meters. Powell-Tuck Associates was the design architect for the Bloomberg European headquarters in London, which was the award winner for fit-out of workplace.

Article Abstract:

Foreign and Commonwealth Office's Umoja House diplomatic office in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, has been upgraded. Contracts totaling an estimated UKPd12,495,087 were let for the government facility that included external floor area of 6,982 square meters. Manser Practice (UK) and Norman + Dawbarn Tanzania were the architects involved in the project.

Article Abstract:

A crafted studio in south Wiltshire by Klaentschi and Klaentschi Architects is both office workspace and resonant garden object. Located in the garden of a listed brick manor house, it replaces an earlier flat-roofed studio that was largely hidden from the house by a brick garden wall that formed part of its structure.
