BME to float 33.1% stake

Bolsas & Mercados Espanoles S.A. of Spain is planning an initial public offering. The stock exchange operator is tendering 27.7 million shares or approximately one third of the company. The stock exchange will be valued at approximately 2 billion Euros ($2.5 billion).

BME's earnings climb 19%

Bolsas & Mercados Espanoles S.A. of Spain posted a soaring 19 percent increase in second quarter net profit to 29.4 million Euros ($37.9 million) from 24.8 million Euros last year. Revenues at the Spanish stock exchange were due to strong trading activity.

Credit Agricole boosts stake in a prized target, Bankinter

Article Abstract:

French banking firm Credit Agricole S.A. increased its stake in Spanish bank Bankinter S.A. to 19.53% in a deal valued at $1.19 bil. The stake represents a 13% premium to Bankinter's market capitalization.
