BP expands big Russia energy deal

BP PLC has completed its merger of its Russian assets with Tyumen Oil Co.'s assets in that country. The merger is valued at $6.35 billion (5.78 billion euros).

BP says reserves in Russian deal beat expectations

BP PLC said that its oil reserves for its TNK-BP joint venture were higher than expected. However, BP warned that production would start to slow in 2004.
