Bank of Scotland

Article Abstract:

Bank of Scotland is boosting its marketing effort in response to the growing competition in the UK senior debt market. A growing number of banks have re-entered the acquisition finance market since 1994, and while this has reduced the syndication risk, it also means that all leading banks want to be lead debt arrangers. Bank of Scotland says its strengths include the quick response it can offer thanks to its unbureaucratic nature; flexibility; willingness to underwrite large amounts; and its supportive nature.
