Belgacom unit in France to cut phone rates

Article Abstract:

Belgacom France will soon announce reductions in long-distance and international telephone rates for business customers. The company's international rates will drop an average of 7.5% effective April 1, 1999. Aplan will also be introduced by the company that permits customers to call within an expanded region at reduced calling rates.

Tailoring ads to email users, Google has some poor fits

Article Abstract:

Google Inc. is targeting ads to its email users, with often strange results. Emails are automatically scanned for content, and advertising is matched to the content, but there are many errors. In return for the ads, Gmail users get a large amount of free email storage space.
