Bill Bradley is seeking the Democrat nomination for the presidency and he has lost the primary in New Hampshire. His opponent in the Democratic party, Al Gore, is performing better in opinion polls against George W. Bush of the Republicans. while John McCain is also performing well of the Republican candidates. Bradley has been attacked by Gore on such a wide range of counts that he initially did not respond, and there is strong personal rivalry between the two. McCain could benefit if Bradley focuses on ethical issues.

Bill Bradley, presidential candidate, was a basketball star and graduated from Princeton. He was a New Jersey senator for 18 years and then moved into teaching. He reveals little about his past and private life, and argues that he will reveal his policies later, after having listened. He is performing well in opinion polls, some of which show him to be moving closer to Al Gore, and he should raise enough funds to be able to put up a fight against Gore. He will need to reveal more of himself in his campaign, though some reserve may prove popular among Americans after President Bill Clinton.

Bill Bradley and Al Gore are competing as Democratic presidential candidates, and Gore was once seen as a clear winner, but Bradley is emerging as a serious contender. Bradley has been especially successful in raising funds in Silicon Valley and Manhattan, and could perform better than Gore in New York state and New Jersey. Gore's campaign has managerial problems and appears to have too many consultants. Gore is vice-president, but Bradley could still become the candidate for the Demcorats.
