Bristol-Myers says it inflated sales

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. admitted that it inflated its sales figures during the 1999 to 2002 period. The company said that it inflated figures by up to $2.75 billion (2.5 billion euros) based on "inappropriate" accounting.

Shire sales increase amid Adderall growth

Shire Pharmaceuticals Group PLC posted over $1 billion (926,700) in sales for the 2002 year. The firm posted $852 million in sales in 2001. Shire was helped by the growth of its Adderall hyperactivity drug.

Serono's net misses target, but sales, outlook are solid
