British telecom postpones bond sale amid concerns over credit rating

Standard & Poor is considering downgrading the credit rating of British Telecommunications PLC from a double-A-plus to a mid-low singleA. This prompted British Telecom to postpone is bond offering of $10 billion (11.09 euros).

One-2-One might be put on the block

One-2-One's co-owners said that the wireless opeator could be sold or offered in a initial public offering (IPO). MediaOne Group Inc. and Cable & Wireless PLC are One-2-One's co-owners. It is believed that the company would probably be sold for approximately $16 billion. MediaOne and Cable & Wireless own 50% of One-2-One each. MediaOne's investment in the company has been approximately $484 million to this point.
