Buddhists are protesting for complete control of the Mahabodhi temple in the city of Gaya, India. The temple was under the control of Buddhists since the 16th century, until the Bihar government allowed two Buddhists and a local official to share control in 1949.

India's small Muslim population is growing at a higher percentage rate than the much larger Hindu population. Radical Hindus claim there is a conspiracy, but more likely ignorance and poverty are the real reasons for the Muslim population growth.

Surrounded: the Bihac pocket

Article Abstract:

An almost entirely Muslim corner of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bihac, has been surrounded by Serbian troops and held under siege for several months. Because of good food supplies, the Bihac Muslims hope to be able to hold out through the end of the war.
