Bush plays down bailout prospects for GM and Ford

President George W. Bush of the United States has announced that he would not be pleased if Ford Motor Co. and General Motors Corp. looked for a government financial bailout. The struggling automobile companies may seek bankruptcy protection amidst plant closings and layoffs.

U.S. government may run deficit of $480 billion

Article Abstract:

The U.S. could see a budget deficit of $480 billion (441.12 billion euros) in the next fiscal year. The U.S. Congressional Budget Office said that the country will continue to have a budget deficit for the majority of the next ten years.
