CAD system adds a tool kit

Article Abstract:

Graphsoft has launched a new computer aided design (CAD) package entitled MiniCad Version 6 for Windows which is expected to be as popular as its previous CAD software on the Macintosh. Traditionally MiniCad packages have been cheaper and faster than its main competitor, AutoCad, and it also provides three-dimentional modelling and cross-platform compatibility. The software is known to have some bugs although Graphsoft has already released an update patch called Version 6.01 to overcome these.

West coast waves

Article Abstract:

Bentley Systems' Open Space software was outstanding at the building industry's 1996 AEC Systems' conference and exhibition in Anaheim, California. It allows the building developer to create imaginary buildings using computer-aided-design, and can take drawings from a library of information on the Internet. Other products included Graphisoft's ArchiCAD version 5, which uses Apple's QuickTime VR technology and provides export rendering functionality.
