CAO Singapore expected parent's help as loss grew

Article Abstract:

Having run up huge losses betting on rising oil prices, the Singapore subsidiary of Beijing-based China Aviation Oil Holding Corp., is said to have minimized its losses as they accumulated by stating that its parent would bail it out if necessary. Chen Jiulin, chief executive officer of China Aviation Oil Singapore, is currently under investigation for his role in what is believed to be a cover-up involving falsified financial records.
