CIBC promotes e-banking

Article Abstract:

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) is launching a new national advertising campaign that relates to the evolving acceptance of electronic banking among Canadian consumers. The 13 print ads, which was created by Padulo Integrated of Toronto, will run through December 1998 and will use the "Just because you can" slogan. CIBC will also direct consumers to a toll-free number and a Web site to provide more information and will feature its expanding products and services that are accessible via electronic banking.

AGF is first advertiser in millennium

Article Abstract:

AGF funds Inc's television commercial is the first advertisement to air on Canadian networks. The spot, which featured Father Time and Baby New Year, aired nationally just after the clock struck Jan 1, 2000. It was created by Toronto, Ontario-based Sebastian Consultancy and will run in 30- and 60-sec versions in both English and French until mid-January. Although, Sebastian did the television ad campaign, AGF's national brand agency will still be Young and Rubicam of Toronto.

Humpty is back on potato chip packs

Article Abstract:

Small Fry Snack Foods of Kitchener, Ontario, has readopted the Humpty Dumpty character as the official mascot of its Humpty Dumpty line of potato chips. The move, which will involve an Ontario-wide tour as well as separate campaigns in Quebec and Atlantic Canada, is aimed at revitalizing the Humpty Dumpty brand and gaining a bigger portion of the country's snack food market. Small Fry dropped the mascot when it acquired Humpty Dumpty Foods Inc in 1994.
