AUSTRIA: BASLER EYEING WIENER STADTISCHE

Article Abstract:

Lothar Mayrhofer, chief executive of the Austrian subsidiary of the Swiss insurance group, says that Basler Versicherung sees Wiener Stadtische as an "attractive partner". The latter has a strong presence in eastern Europe, where Basler is represented merely through its sales company.
