Video recorders

Article Abstract:

The UK video recorder market is currently worth 725 million pounds sterling. Video recorder penetration has reached 82%, with demand being fuelled by economic recovery. In the period 1992 to 1996, the sector expanded by 25.4%, reaching 2.8 million units. It is becoming increasingly important for manufacturers to invest in developing new technology as the market becomes more mature. Sales are likely to slow down in the period to 2000, and will only revive when digital recording becomes firmly established.
