Canadian Tire restructures

Canadian Tire Corp Ltd (CT), based in Toronto, Canada, has named Mark Foote president of its new retail business division. The promotion is part of the company's restructuring into three new operations, namely Canadian Tire Retail, Canadian Tire Financial Services and New Business Development. Foote, who was formerly senior VP of marketing, will be in- charge of the growth, development and operations management of CT's retail business, including the national retail chain, petroleum outlets and the new e-business sector.

Rossi exits beer.com

Article Abstract:

Rocco Rossi announced that he will step down as president of beer.com, a beerlovers' website largely funded by Belgium-based Interbrew. He also revealed that he is leaving because he was highly affected by the death of Interbrew's North American Pres Don Kitchen, who passed away in Aug 2000. Before joining beer.com, Rossi was vice-president of strategic planning and new media for Torstar.
