Cesky Mobil in advance

Article Abstract:

Cesky Mobil (CM) (Prague, Czech Republic), mobile operator, met all the demands of the licence for the operation of its Oskar GSM in Jan 2001. The original deadline was as of 2003. CM has covered 98% of the Czech population since the start of its operation in the spring of 2000. The firm has won 300,000 clients, which represents a 7% share on the market. The setting up of the Oskar network cost USD 350 mil and represented one of the largest foreign investments in the Czech Republic in 2000.

Eurotel expects its proceeds to increase

Eurotel (Prague, Czech Republic), mobile telephone operator, expects its proceeds to increase in 1998 compared to the planned 10.4 bil Kc. Eurotel wants to invest more than 6 bil Kc in its networks in 1998. The firm operates a digital mobile telephone network and an analogous mobile telephone system. Eurotel's Czech competitor is Radiomobil (Czech Republic). More than 7% of the Czech population owns mobile telephones of both the companies.

Techplast to commission a new plant

Article Abstract:

Techplast (Rybnik, Czech Republic), automotive plastics company, will start the pilot operation of a new CEK 50 mil tool plant in Moravska Trebova, Czech Republic, in Jan 2001. Initially, the plant will have 24 employees. Techplast also plans to build a new moulding plant, which should have 50-60 employees.
