Cesky Telecom should be privatized in 2001

Article Abstract:

Cesky Telecom (CT) (Prague, Czech Republic), telecommunication firm, should be privatized in 2001. CT raised its proceeds by 10.2% to CEK 57.2 bil in 2000 compared to 1999. Its 2000 proceeds were bigger than the expected CEK 56.34 bil. CT's net profit rose by 4% to CEK 6.4 bil in 2000 compared to 1999. Its 2000 profit was smaller than the estimated CEK 6.79 bil. CT holds a majority stake in the mobile operator Eurotel (Czech Republic), which increased the number of its clients by more than 500,000 during 4Q 2000 to 2.17 mil at the end of 2000.

Ceske Radiokomunikace to pay dividends

Article Abstract:

Ceske radiokomunikace (CRA) (Prague, Czech Republic), radiocommunication firm, saw a record consolidated net profit of CEK 14.8 bil in 2000. The sum is 24-times higher compared to 1999. The firm will pay dividends from the 2000 profit, for the first time in its history. The profit growth was influenced by a payment for an option at Radiomobil (Czech Republic). In 2000 CER lost its control over the operator of the network Paegas.

Ceske Radiokomunikace before privatization

Article Abstract:

Ceske radiokomunikace (CRA) (Prague, Czech Republic), telecommunication firm, should be privatized in 2001. CRA has not yet published data about its 2000 proceeds. Its outputs amounted to CEK 2.53 bil in 2000. CRA's proceeds are expected to have been CEK 2.14 bil in 2000. CRA holds a majority stake in the mobile operator Radiomobil (Czech Republic), the proceeds of which are estimated at CEK 17.6 bil for 2000.
