China's advertising; education and research is the key

Article Abstract:

The present move of China towards establishing a market economy has also brought about an increase in its advertising industry. Previously prohibited, advertising is now one of China's most rapidly growing industries. At present, the advertising industry in China is experiencing a multitude of problems. Analysts believe that only through education can the industry be made to right itself and prosper like its Western counterparts.

The changing US media and marketing environment: implications for media advertising expenditures in the 1990s

Article Abstract:

There has been a steady decline in advertising related expenditures in the US. In response to this, advertising companies are searching for more cost effective non-traditional marketing strategies to compensate for the decline in traditional advertising forms. Studies indicate that even with the conclusion of the current economic recession in the US, advertising related expenditures will not return to previous levels.
