DoubleClick Media Asia is offering independent third-party surveys online to measure the effect of advertising on the Internet in Asia. The company has contracted Hong Kong-based Interactive Audience Measurement Asia Ltd., or iamasia, to survey random viewers of DoubleClick advertisements for brand awareness. Internet market research is usually conducted by measuring traffic on a website, however this survey may offer a less biased alternative.

Channel V goes online to gain bigger share of Chinese audience

Asian music television station Channel V is promoting itself online through an agreement with Chinese Internet portal Netease.com. The campaign is important because few Asian companies have advertised on third-party online sites. Channel V is trying to boost its brand in China and gain a larger audience market there.
