Charlatte introduces three new products

Article Abstract:

Charlatte of America has introduced the CBL 2000E electric cargo/conveyor belt loader and the CFB 2000 electric flat-bed tractor. The CBL 2000E can service all aircraft with door sill heights between 0.508m and 4.52m. An 18.5kw DC motor supplies power to the main drive. On the other hand, the CFB 2000 is designed for use in a variety of uses on the ramp including interline and last-minute baggage transfers. Standard features include a Sevcon MOSFET controller with regenerative braking, power steering and four-wheel hydraulic brakes.

Bentz Mobile Products has unveiled a new tow tractor called the Navistar 4700 LP. The vehicle has a drawbar pull of 3,630 kg and can tow loads up to 18,150 kg at 24 km.h on level ground. The 130kw DT-466E diesel engine with Allison four-speed transmission allows the Navistar 4700 LP to tow similar loads on gradients up to 17%. Other features include keyless ignition, hour meter, diamond plate cab floor, de-activated door locks, rear pintle towing hitch and heavy-duty front bumpers.

Article Abstract:

Hammonds Technical Services has introduced the Omni Direction Vehicle (ODV) for various GSE applications including a tow-tractor. The company has produced a prototype and plans initial production later in 2001. The ODV is a road vehicle powered by an air-cooled Kohler Command 22 petrol engine rated at 16.4kW at 3,600rpm. It has the ability to manoeuvre in any direction within the space it occupies due to its single-axis drive in the center of the vehicle.
