China's GDP exceeds Italy, nudges France

Article Abstract:

China is rivaling European gross domestic product statistics becoming the world's 6th largest economy, outpacing Italy, based on 2004 data. With 2005 data China is forecast to rival France. The statistics illustrate that 46.2 percent gross domestic product is based on manufacturing and exports, while agriculture claims 13.1 percent.
