In 1995, Cinven reported a record-breaking 330 million pounds sterling worth of total investments. During the same year, five of its companies were floated on the stock exchange, while a further three joined the US NASDAQ market. In the first six months of 1996, the company reported 185 million pounds sterling worth of new investments. Notable deals include the flotation of Allied Carpets, and the management buy outs of academic publisher Routledge, household goods maker Addis Housewares, and lightning protection equipment maker, WJ Furse.

Cinven has considerable expertise in arranging and managing large buyout deals in the European market. The buyout team focuses on deals starting at a value of $81 million. They have been involved in deals worth a total of $11 billion between 1993-1998. Cinven have kept their personnel to a minimum relying on the extensive expertise of their 13 investment directors. The directors are able to use their knowledge to good affect when leading complicated deals. They were involved in the $1.7 billion buyout of Kappa Packaging, during May 1998.

Private equity company Cinven boasts a team of 14 investment directors, six assistants and a finance director. Some of its largest clients include the Barclays Bank Pension Fund, British Coal Pension Funds, and the Railways Pension Schemes. A 1.5 billion Second Cinven Fund has been launched and the company is targeting European management buyouts in the 50 million to over 1 billion pound sterling bracket.
