Swisscom pulls out of India, Malaysia

Swisscom AG announced that it is withdrawing from the Malaysian and Indian markets and concentrate its focus on Europe. The announcement meant that the firm was acknowledging that its venture into Asia was unsuccessful. Swisscom also posted a profit for the 1998 year on a revenue increase of 6.3%.
