Converium posts 33% profit jump as premiums rise

Converium Holding AG of Switzerland posted a soaring 33 percent increase in net profit for the second quarter to $62.5 million from $46.9 million last year. The reinsurance company is expected to meet financial projections for this year. Strong revenues increase chances of a credit-rating improvement by Standard & Poor's.

AXA's growth in U.S., Australia propels earnings

Skandia posts 3rd-quarter loss

Skandia AB posted a 191 million kronor (21.3 million euros) net loss for the 2003 third quarter. The company posted 665 million kronor in net income in the same 2002 period.
