Corby pours effort into US growth

Article Abstract:

Toronto, Ontario-based Corby Distilleries is looking to expand into the US with a new distribution deal forged with Weston, MO-based McCormick Distilling Co Inc. The deal calls for McCormick to distribute Corby's Polar Ice Vodka and Canadian Whisky Guild brands Pike Creek, Lot 49 and Gooderham and Worts in the US. Corby, in turn, will become the Canadian distributor of McCormick's Tequila Rose liqueur. Corby is also exploring export opportunities in Europe and the Australasia region.

Inniskillin warms to U.S. icewine sales

Article Abstract:

Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario-based Inniskillin Wines is aiming to sell 'El Nino' Icewine to the US market. Its marketing campaign called the Wine and Music series, which will be launched at the Canadian consulate in New York State will feature four wine seminars accompanied by Canadian classical musicians. The increased focus on the US is due to the crisis that the Asian countries, particularly Japan, is experiencing.

Buckley's sets its sights on the U.S

WK Buckley's, based in Mississauga, Ontario, used its Canadian-made ad campaign to increase the US awareness of its signature coup syrup called Buckley's Mixture. A national radio campaign in the US featured Buckley's original 'It tastes awful. And it works' ad created by Toronto, Canada's Bensimon Byrne DMB&B as well as ads by its current AOR, Publicis SMW of Toronto.
