Creative Technology Outlook Dims as PC Makers Struggle

Singapore's Creative Technology Ltd., which has been hurt by slowing personal computer sales in the U.S., will cut its revenues forecast for the second quarter ended December 31 from 5 percent to 7 percent. Creative Technology makes computer peripherals, such as disk drives and sound cards.

Lexmark earnings climbed by 5.9% in third quarter

Lexmark International Inc. posted a rise of 5.9% in its earnings for the 2001 third-quarter. The company also said it would lay off approximately 12% of its workforce in order to deal with slow demand.

Lexmark's net fell by 45% in quarter, hurt by a charge

Lexmark International Inc. posted a decline of 45% in its net income for the 2000 fourth-quarter. The company posted $55 million (58.6 million euros) in net income for the period.
