Phase 1 Bushranger vehicles delivered to Australian Army

Article Abstract:

British Aerospace Australia has delivered the Perentie 4X4 and 6X6 vehicles to the 7th Task Force of the Australian Army. The vehicles, acquired under Phase I of Project Bushranger, will be used by the army to provide interim motorization capability until the acquisition of the dedicated armored mine-protected 4X4 infantry mobility vehicle (IMV) early next century. For now, the interim IMVs will allow the army to cover more area in less time and to deliver soldiers at an area of operation in better shape to fight.
